The
Michael Servetus Institute is a cultural institution open to all
those individuals who show an interest in the scientific study
and spread of Michael Servetus’ life, works and legacy,
as well as to all those individuals who show an interest to study
the history of the Royal Monastery of Sixena and the defense of
its heritage.
Pursuant
to the Founding Chapters of the Institute, candidates must be
designated by the General Assembly of the Institute (gathering
all the members who are present in the session). Once designated,
the Permanent Council of the Institute proposes the appointment
of the candidates as members of the Institute ("consejeros")
to the City Council of Villanueva de Sijena.
Membership
to the Institute is free. However, the Institute welcomes donations,
in kind or cash, from its members or from third parties.
If
you wish to join us, we kindly ask you to complete and send
to us the form below, along with your resume and a brief statement
(two or three paragraphs) of the reasons which explain your
willingness to affiliate to the Institute. We will carefully
review your application and contact you shortly. The relationship
between the Institute and its members is "intuitu personae",
i.e. the appointment of a new member is based on a prior analysis
of the personal circumstances of each candidate. The Institute
takes into special account the ability of the candidate to keep
a relationship of mutual trust with the institution.
