Servetus is considered by some Unitarian churches as one
of the pioneers and intellectual forerunners of their
religious movement.
Unitarism is a branch of Protestantism that affirms
God's unity and freedom of thought in religious matters.
The First Unitarian Church of Brooklyn (New York) was
founded in 1833 and its neo-Gothic style building
shelters a magnificent collection of stained-glass
windows crafted by Tiffany. The window that shows
Servetus, placed beside that of Faustus Socinus, is part
of a set of stained-glass windows located on the second
floor of the sanctuary, which shows several forerunners
of the Unitarian movement. Photograph by Jaume de
